What family does your character belong to?

How would others describe your character’s appearance?
Who? I don’t recall that person.
What is your character’s primary motivation?
Shosuro Kuai will never be remembered for what he does unless he is caught. His motivation is an internal conflict of wanting to be the best while without shaming his family name.
Who is the person your character trusts most in the world?
Shohuro Otōto (Kuia’s brother) is the only person he would trust not to wrong him. However Kuia has only himself to trust with his secrets.
What is your character’s greatest strength and weakness?
Kuai embodies the art of Ninjustu and attributes associated with it. He strives to be the best at what he does. However, this in itself is a weakness. One day he may not be able to deny the temptation of a challenge.
What does your character think of bushido?
The tenets of bushido are twisted in the Scorpion mentality of Kuiai. He knows how he must act around other “more honorable” samurai. However, stupidity can often be confused as courage, and all truth have lies just as all lies have truths. Duty to ones clan is all that is necessary. All things are permitted… just don’t get caught.
What is your character’s opinion of his clan?
The Scorpion are the backbone of the empire. Nothing would be possible without the sacrifices they make and have made. While others are off in search of honor, glory or enlightenment, the scorpion know only duty to clan and empire. They will do what is necessary for it’s subjects.
Is your character married?
No. He has no time for such things.
Does your character have any prejudices?
Not like those other self absorbed, naive samurai.
To whom does your character owe the most loyalty?
The Shosuro family.
What are your character’s favorite and least favorite things?
Kuai loves to “get away” with something. He finds small joys in misdirection and the clouding of his true persona. However, he revels most in finding that next self reinforcing task.
Does your character have any recurring mannerisms?
He often looks at people with question. Some may see this as ignorance. He is merely trying to understand their true motives.
What about your character’s emotions?
He rarely feels happiness, pity or sadness for others. They would never know this because he must keep his true self masked. So, inversely of other samurai, (inside of socially acceptable boundaries), Kuai may seem to be emotional or empathetic.
How would your character handle a subordinate’s improper behavior?
Denial of known intention and proper punishment. The punishment may seem to be for the improper behavior. It truth it would be for getting caught in the act.
How would your character’s parents describe him?
Kuai has a good heart. However, his mind was never fully on his studies and thus his skills are lacking. We are proud of him. But, hope he soon understands the necessity of honing his skills.
What is your character’s highest ambition?
To grow old. To do so means he was successful in all duties and personal endeavors.
How religious is your character?
Kuai believes. He just believes that one must help themselves and not depend on faith.
How will your character die?
Possibly a trap. Those pesky urges to prove himself will put him in some precarious situations.
